I am now Happy, Healthy and Maintaining!! Pounds & Inches is my way of life! I am currently on R2P3. This blog is to help me keep track of my journey. You will find my daily weigh ins along with my daily menu. I will also use this blog to record recipes I have tried or want to try. Along with menus I look forward to making once I'm in P3 and/or P4.
I started P&I on July 17th of 2009. I had tried alot of other diets and stalled out and regained time and time again, I was done with diets! By accident I came across P&I which I read, then reread. I learned that this wasn't a "diet" P&I is a cure! I watched some youtube videos and I joined a yahoo group. I read and educate myself about the protocol. I decided to go for it! I'm so glad I did! If you decide to do this protocol like I did YOU MUST EDUCATE YOURSELF as it is not a fly by your pants way to reduce. On July 17, 09 I weighted 163.6 I was in R1P2 until Aug. 25, 09....38 days and lost 26 lbs. At the end of R1P2 my LDW was 138.2 On Aug. 27, 09 I started R1P3. This phase was hard for me. I was suppose to stay within +/- 2 lbs. of my LDW. I was overly excited to add back to many new foods at once. I did alot of Steak Days! P3 is 3 weeks in P&I but I went 4 extra days trying to stabalize better. I went into R1P4 on Sept. 22, 09 weighing 140.4 which was 2.2 lbs. over my LDW okay but not within protocol. I went crazy in P4 with adding things in which resulted in Steak Days again. This caused me to revert back into my old habits of says to myself "Go for it your going back to P2 soon and will lose it again." So when I went on a 4day cruise Oct. 16th-19th I went for it! I weighted 150, yes 150 when I got back from the cruise. So I did a few Steak Days and got to 147.8. I started R2P2 loading on Oct. 24th weighing 147.8. On Oct. 26th I started my 1st VLCD weighting 151.8! I am doing very well on this round. Yes, I'm upset with myself for going crazy my first P3 & P4 and having to reloose weight I'd already lost. I will not let it get me down as I know this protocol works as long as you follow the protocol as written and don't give up on yourself! I took a 5 day Interruption for Thanksgiving following the rules of interruptions in P&I. My LDW for my interruption was 133.4 which I needed to stay +/- 2 lbs. of during this interruption. At the end of the "dreaded 72 hrs." I weighted 131.6 which gave me lot more wiggle room! During my interruption I followed P3 rules most of the time. I did have a latte every day and 1 frozen strawberry yogurt during the 5 days interruption. All other foods and drinks where P3 compliant. I started back on VLCD's on Nov. 30, 2009 weighing 135.4 exactly 2 lbs. up from my LDW, so within my allowed range. I was happy with that and also excited to get back on VLCD's so I can get these last 10 lbs. off! It's Dec. 20th and I am now going to take a Christmas/New Years interruption now. My LDW is 126.4. I hope to loss a bit more during the "dreaded 72 hrs." to have some extra wiggle room. It's Jan. 4th and I'm back on P2. I gained 9 lbs. while on my Holiday Interruption. I stuck to P3 foods but not P3 drinks. I had way to many Starbuck Carmel Light Fraps. I will now do VLCD's until Jan. 31st and then do the "dreaded 72hrs." and go into R2P3. I must go into P3 so that I can be in P4 and stable by my birthday in March. I am hoping to be at my goal of 120 and then stabilize there. If I reach this goal I will never have to do another round :0). I will defiantly do this P3 different then my last. I will add new items in slowly, I will eat P2 (except Grissini due to the no startch in P3) style just eating larger portions of protein and adding in 2 new "legal" no sugar/no startch items in every 3 days or so. This way if I have issues with gain I will know what is causing the gains. I will then move into P4 by March 1st. In March I will gradually add back in only good healthy carbs. Not go crazy like I did last time I was in P4. I will do this until my birthday in mid March. My birthday will be a "test" of how well I'm stable because I plan on having Homemade German Chocolate cake with lots of frosting and Sushi that day. My present to myself will be following P&I to the T. Stabilizing in P3 by going slow with new foods, not giving up if I have to do correction days, not going crazy in P4...well at least until my Bday ;0).
